Owning a dog is a lot different than how it used to be. In fact, compared to the days of letting Fido out the door to run around the farm until the sun set, it’s a whole different ball game.
There’s a reason dog owners now go by the name of “dog parent.” Owning a dog, especially in a bustling urban environment, isn’t too different from being a parent. OK, there are some big differences, but the point is that dogs, like humans, need a lot of love and, sometimes, a lot of pampering.
Because dogs are an extension of their family, dog parents naturally want to find a living situation that accommodates their animals.
At Lewis Apartment Communities, we’ve gone out of our way to make all our communities pet friendly.
But we know that merely permitting animals on the property isn’t enough. Every community is different, so without further ado, here are some highlights from our pet-friendly communities.
- A doggy spa. Latitude 39, our modern, stylish community in Reno, Nevada, caters to the tastes of both humans and animals. The dog spa and outdoor dog park allows your furry friend the space to play and be pampered.
- Pet-washing stations. Many of our communities in both southern California and Nevada, such as The Homecoming at The Preserve, Santa Barbara Apartments, Homecoming at Terra Vista, and The Enclave, have pet washing stations so you can go out for the day, get into some mud and dirt and clean your dog off before you come home.
- Dog parks. If you have a dog, you need a place to get outside and let them play. At Green Valley, and all of our Homecoming communities, you’ll find on-site dog parks that allow you to do just that.
- Walkway with pet stations. Many of our communities have a walkway with pet stations along the way to encourage people to get out, get some exercise and meet other pet parents.
At Lewis Apartment Communities, we strive to take care of our residents and their pet family. It’s one way we don’t just provide a place to live, but a community to call home.
